Program Overview
Everyday, the world seems more overwhelming and increasingly stressful. Stress happens whether you want it to or not. While you may not be able to eliminate stress, are you doing everything you can to contain and manage it? What if you could reduce the negative impact of stress and better manage what life throws at you? This session provides immediate implementable strategies and tools to help you regain control of your time, improve your approach to stress and better manage it. Discover how you can experience less stress in your life and share them with your family, students, and your school communities.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners will be able to:
- Discuss three negative impacts of stress.
- Describe two negative impacts of stress on the brain.
- Relate one physical, psychological, and behavioral cost of stress.
- Outline three tools you can use to control stress.
- Provide four strategies you can offer others to balance and offset stress' impact.
This continuing education program is a knowledge-based activity developed to meet the educational needs of registered nurses who are interested in child and adolescent health.
